A family company that has been making snuff tobacco for the past 90 years is set to continue for a fourth generation.
McChrystal’s, in Leicester, is currently led by Ian McChrystal, whose grandfather started the business in Leicester in 1926, producing nasal tobacco that was used by coal miners.
The tradition survived the collapse of the British coal industry and new rules about smoking mean snuff is now growing in popularity.
Snuff is sold across North America, Europe, South Africa and the UK.
